The Banja Luka International Airport (BNX) is the third largest airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located 25 kilometers from Banja Luka, the second largest city in the country, and 240 kilometers from Sarajevo.

Although considered a medium-sized airport, Banja Luka Airport has experienced growth in recent years with the arrival of low-cost airlines such as RyanAir and WizzAir, offering regular flights to around 10 destinations in Europe. This has attracted more than 150,000 passengers annually, either arriving or departing from this airport.

Traffic operates from the old terminal, where passengers have access to only the most basic infrastructure, including a cafe-restaurant. The terminal is very small, with only 7/8 flights departing daily. Don't worry about being late, even if you arrive just an hour before your flight.

Although Sarajevo is not far from Banja Luka Airport (248 kilometers), there is currently no public transportation available. Buses to Sarajevo are available from Banja Luka, but to get there from the airport, you'll need to take a taxi.
